Go Back To Work Congress
It is clear to me that Congress needs to get back to what they are paid to do. draft and Pass legislation. That is there job and they are not doi9ng it. This energy bill that is being held up in Congress is really begining to tick me off. If I do not go to my job on the day that I am scheduled and DO my job I will lose it. These democrats do not want to go on record before the election on how they would vote. Senator John McCain on Monday issued a personal challenge to his Democratic rival to “come back into town and come back to work.”
Good for you McCain lets give them a challenge. McCain also challenged Mr. Obama to gather hi fellow democrats to get of vacation and come to work. Mr. Obama campaign manager responded “If Senator McCain is willing to pass a compromise that provides immediate relief to consumers in the form a $1,000 energy rebate and makes a serious investment in renewable energy, Senator Obama would be happy to join him in calling on Congress to return,” Bill Burton, Obama campaign spokesman, said. “But if he continues to reject any compromise that takes away tax breaks for the same oil companies that have given millions to his campaign, as he did on Friday, we’d rather not waste the American people’s tax dollars,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.
Who knows when we will really get something done with Congress. What is it going to take for us to get something done. If they do not pass this within the next week they probably will not get to it till January. If they vote on it now though we can actually be doing something by January. It takes a while for the bill to actually go totally through and for companies to take advantage of the law.
The round of denigrating ads
Is McCain running scared?? I mean look at the round of ads that he has put out over the last couple of days and it makes you wonder what are they thinking. I personally am wondering when are they going to stop the ads because you do not see Obama doing anything when it comes to denigrating ads. Now Obama has come out and said that he does not find the ad to be racial but just cynical. I do wonder though that how people look at Obama is as a celebrity or as the man that has to run are country. I hope that our nation is not going to be like California and voter the governator because of his fame. Only time will tell. But as a word of advice tot he McCain campaign hit Obama where it hurts and that is the issues not the personality.
New McCain Commercial bashing Obama fogetting Hispanics
McCain add that came out showing that Obama forgot the Latin American countries is a bit of a stretch for me. Although I will agree that the Obama campaign has a long way to go to clear the rift it has with the Hispanic voters. Statistically over the years the Hispanic vote would not vote for a black person and even really a democrat. Let see if this commercial does anything to hurt the Obama campaign.
obama for offshore drilling

Obama has now come out in favor of offshore drilling. He changed from his original stance of being against it. The house and senate parties were at a deadlock fighting over the rights to overturn the presidential mandate. I for one am happy that Mr. Obama is for this and believe that it was very well said why he is now for offshore drilling.
“We can’t drill our way out of the problem,” he said. But, he added, “I also recognize that in the House and the Senate, there are Republicans who have very clear ideas about what they want, and at some point people are going to have to make some decisions. Do we want to keep on arguing, or are we going to get some things done?”
I am glad to see that he is willing to come to a compromise. Someone has to step forward here and cross the isle to bring people together. I also agree with Mr. Obama when he says that this should not be the only solution. We should start expanding other renewable sources of energy and stop this dependence on oil.
Of course the McCain party has come out taking credit for leading the way in offshore drilling. Now I would not go that far I believe that it was President Bush that had the idea Mr. McCain.
The debabte agreement is made

Mr. Obama has finally agreed to the debates. The only problem is there is only three. Now here is what I am wondering. Doesn’t Obama care about the news media that has cradled to him since the start. he should not of only agreed to 3 but at least 3 more. Think of all the advertising revenue it would had brought to those stations that care about him winning this election. As we all know though more than three debates is a risk for Obama. The man is a spectacular speaker. Honestly no puns about it. He really is a good speaker. Put him in the forum though were he is not ready for questions and see where he will end up. In three debates they will be able to answer the questions that we already know the text book answer to. give them both though a couple more and get down to the questions that we Americans really care about and then lets see what answers we get from both of them. Either way I look forward to these debates not matter how few of them there are.
