Blacks against Obama Protest at Tampa Rally
African American men and women are showing today that they won’t just vote because of Obama’s color. Today the protesters barged into Barack Obama’s rally at the University of Miami to protest his candidacy and views. The protesters held up homemade signs that said “Blacks against Obama, “Obama for abortions”, “Jesse Jackson hates Obama”, “Obama for gay marriage”, and “Obama endorsed by the KKK.” These folks interrupted the rally at the University of Miami only to be drowned out by the crowd screaming “Yes we can!” These African Americans were part of a Miami based group called “Michael Warns” according to CBS.com.
Obama Is Stoking Racial Antagonism by Rush Limbaugh
I understand the rough and tumble of politics. But Barack Obama — the supposedly postpartisan, postracial candidate of hope and change — has gone where few modern candidates have gone before.
Mr. Obama’s campaign is now trafficking in prejudice of its own making. And in doing so, it is playing with political dynamite. What kind of potential president would let his campaign knowingly extract two incomplete, out-of-context lines from two radio parodies and build a framework of hate around them in order to exploit racial tensions? The segregationists of the 1950s and 1960s were famous for such vile fear-mongering.
Here’s the relevant part of the Spanish-language television commercial Mr. Obama is running in Hispanic communities:
“They want us to forget the insults we’ve put up with . . . the intolerance . . . they made us feel marginalized in this country we love so much.”
Then the commercial flashes two quotes from me: “. . . stupid and unskilled Mexicans” and “You shut your mouth or you get out!”

McCain says Fed should stop government bailouts

McCain is the first presidential candidate that has come out and said to the Fed’s stay out of the private sector. The Republican presidential hopeful said the Fed should get back to “its core business of responsibly managing our money supply and inflation” and he laid out several recommendations for stabilizing markets in the financial crisis that has rocked Wall Street and commanded the dialogue in the presidential campaign.
“A strong dollar will reduce energy and food prices,” McCain said to applause from the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce. “It will stimulate sustainable economic growth and get this economy moving again.”
McCain is right. The instant that we start mixing our hard earned money into the private sector there will be the kind of greedy people that want to do nothing more than cheat the government out of money and they will. We cannot have any more of this read tape.
While it is not good that the companies are going bankrupt it is their own fault for not having the proper business practices. Why should we the taxpayer have to pay for the faults of already millionaire business owners.
McCain and Obama, How are you going to fix the economy

The financial crisis have put the economic eye on the presidential hopefuls campaigns. Several days ago I wrote about this and want to again in light of the volatile stock market reiterate upon my comments.
Neither campaign has really and truly addressed the concerns of the people.
“People are confused, they’re scared and they’re angry, and neither of these guys is providing the security, maturity and experience to be able to calm those fears,” says Joe Gaylord, a Republican consultant. “If these candidates can rise out of their campaign mode and get into the president-of-all-the-country mode, people would feel more comfortable.”
What we want to see is a clear direction that as a candidate you are going to take us. Neither candidates thus far have shown us that. All that I have gotten is that McCain is not going to approve earmarks and Obama is going to tax the oil companies to cover the money he is going to spend on helping the economy. That is not the kind of direction hat we need though.
As a voter and a citizen of the United States I want to know how in the world are you going to fix this issue that we have. Until I can get that strait answer which I doubt we will get I will not be satisfied.
Bill Clinton Praises Palin and McCain
ABC News’ Jennifer Parker reports: Former President Bill Clinton has largely kept himself out of the public eye since his wife lost the Democratic primary to Barack Obama.
However in a rare television interview tonight, the former president called Republican presidential candidate John McCain “a great man” and praised GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as an “instinctively effective candidate.”

Palin Warns Against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s "Holocaust"

ABC News’ Imtiyaz Delawala Reports: Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin warned against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s pursuit of nuclear weapons for a “second holocaust,” while blaming “Democrat partisans” for forcing rally organizers to withdraw her invitation to speak before an anti-Iran protest in New York next week. “John McCain and I are committed to drawing attention to the danger posed by Iran’s nuclear program and we will not waver in our commitment,” Palin told a crowd of 9,000 supporters in Blaine, MN. “I will continue to call for sustained action to prevent Iranian President Ahmadinejad from getting these weapons that he wants for a second holocaust.”

Who is running for office ?

Sarah Palin flipped the Republican presidential ticket around this week when she spoke about things the “Palin and McCain administration” would do in office.
To be sure, the vice presidential candidate is the top draw at joint rallies with her boss, presidential nominee John McCain. But he’s still the top of the ticket and the one who gets to order the drapes in the Oval Office if they win.
Palin made the comment at a rally Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when she said she and McCain want to cut taxes for small business: “That’s exactly what we’re gonna do in a Palin and McCain administration.” Later in her speech, she reverted to the normal order in speaking about the “McCain-Palin administration.”
Palin also referred to McCain as “my running mate” Friday in Green Bay, Wis., as she did twice in Iowa the day before. Vice presidential candidates are usually referred to as the running mates, no matter which one is speaking.
Obama and McCain on Same Sex Marriage

Even with the gay rights question on the ballets in three states both presidential campaigns have totally averted attention away from the subject. Neither party wants to talk about it because they know that it could change drastically the vote of the nation.
While we know that Obama has no problem with this the fact remains that he does not want top address gay rights because of his hope to woo some of the liberal conservative voters. Abortion has also not come up as a question with Obama and while we know where they stand they are not questioned on it to keep them from feeling hot under the collar.
McCain though really ticks me off that he as a Republican is not hammering this issue of the sovereignty and sanctity of marriage. McCain I believe is okay with same sex marriages although Palin would not be for it and I am sure that if they as a campaign were questioned it would cause some of the Conservative voters not to voted their direction. The conservative will still vote but they will cast it for the green party and that is just like throwing it away. Now I also wonder how McCain stands on abortion. Again I have to think that since he is liberal that he may go with the “you have the right to choose it not murder” ideology.
Either way I can tell you that both candidates are liberal and they are not going to take about this same sex marriage issue until on of them gets in office.
Clinton Promotes Obama

Clinton is out on the road again campaigning for Obama in what the Democrats call “Hillary Sent Me.” Basically what it means is that the campaign is going to ban together and join still the many millions of Clinton supporters that have not yet moved over to the Obama campaign.
It is sad to me that the Obama campaign is having to reach out to the Obama campaign to get help for it last major effort. Do I think it will help the Obama campaign. Absolutely yes. The McCain campaign needs to get out there hard and hit it with all they got on these final days on the Presidential Election
