McCain needs to define himself
Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. speaks during a town hall meeting, Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima, Ohio.
We know what Obama stands for but McCain it is now time to go out and tell us what do you stand for. I want to know what is your energy policy and it better not be the give we 70 dollars back in a month on gas idea. What our you going to do to stir the economy? Have you looked at our deficit. What our you going to do to lower it and still cut taxes. Hoe are you going to raise the value of the dollar. These our just a few of the things that McCain needs to start doing now. Keep up what you are doing by pointing out Obama’s faults but give us your hopes and ideas for our great country.
Man inturupts Obama’s speech

At a campaign stop town hall style a man in the crowd wearing press credentials during Obama’s speak began shouting that Obama failed to do the Pledge of Allegiance. The man then began saying the pledge of allegiance interrupting Obamas speech. Obama then invited the man with him to say the pledge of allegiance. I have to say that this was done extremely well by Mr. Obama and that in this situation handled it so no big issue ensued.
Hilton’s pull support for McCain

It is hilarious to me that the queen of hot is involved in this presidential election. What is even more funny to me is how the Hilton family gave money to the McCain campaign then they go and use there daughter in one of their ads. My guess is that they did not ask because the Hilton’s have now pulled there support for the McCain campaign in lieu of the commercial comparing their daughter to Brittney Spears then Obama. The main difference I see is that Obama remembers his panties.
Edwards caught in affair

It is sad to say that yet again the job of being a position is yet again dragged into the mud. mr. Edwards has as a supposed Christian man fell into the temptation of sin and had an affair with another woman. Now I generally do not waver from the presidential scene but feel that my blog may be leading me to talk about all politics. The mans wife is on the brink of dying and he has the nerve to cheat on her that way. It is so sad and I wonder if this will do anything to the democratic party. Only time will tell. I will post the video of Mr. Edwards dateline interview as soon as it is available to me.
Obama’s Energy Plan
Obama’s plan for energy has a few question for me. he wants to short term fix this issue with 500 dollars per individual and 1,000 dollars per couple. [Wonder if Gay and lesbian married couples count?? sorry just a side note.] i did those amazing calculations that he wants the oil companies to pay for and figured out that that would total be 87.5 billion dollars. Now I know that the oil companies have been raking in the money. I know that our country has the freedom to give these companies the right to have the amount of money they make to be there’s. Now what I wonder is why aren’t the Congress mean and woman mad at Google for example. i mean the economy is doing bad and they still brought in a couple billion dollars in profit last quarter alone. I think that we should have legislation against Google to help out the other hurting search engines like poor AOL.
No you do not see that because we have a free market place. The minute that you start messing with the profits of the company is the minute that you are telling companies if you make to much money I am going to take it from you. Why should we then make this innovation. What happenes when we have to much dependence on the solar wind factories then will we go back to oil. I mean this is ridiculous idea taking money from the Oil companies. They earned it let them keep it.
Secondly he wants to let out oil from the strategic oil reserve to lower prices. Dumb dumb dumb dumb, dumb. that is meant for when for some reason we go to war with Iran we have oil to make things still run. It is not meant to empty when prices get a little high. By letting out it is putting this countries national security at risk.
Go back to the drawing board Mr. Obama and re-think your plan.
Go Back To Work Congress
It is clear to me that Congress needs to get back to what they are paid to do. draft and Pass legislation. That is there job and they are not doi9ng it. This energy bill that is being held up in Congress is really begining to tick me off. If I do not go to my job on the day that I am scheduled and DO my job I will lose it. These democrats do not want to go on record before the election on how they would vote. Senator John McCain on Monday issued a personal challenge to his Democratic rival to “come back into town and come back to work.”
Good for you McCain lets give them a challenge. McCain also challenged Mr. Obama to gather hi fellow democrats to get of vacation and come to work. Mr. Obama campaign manager responded “If Senator McCain is willing to pass a compromise that provides immediate relief to consumers in the form a $1,000 energy rebate and makes a serious investment in renewable energy, Senator Obama would be happy to join him in calling on Congress to return,” Bill Burton, Obama campaign spokesman, said. “But if he continues to reject any compromise that takes away tax breaks for the same oil companies that have given millions to his campaign, as he did on Friday, we’d rather not waste the American people’s tax dollars,” said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.
Who knows when we will really get something done with Congress. What is it going to take for us to get something done. If they do not pass this within the next week they probably will not get to it till January. If they vote on it now though we can actually be doing something by January. It takes a while for the bill to actually go totally through and for companies to take advantage of the law.
The round of denigrating ads
Is McCain running scared?? I mean look at the round of ads that he has put out over the last couple of days and it makes you wonder what are they thinking. I personally am wondering when are they going to stop the ads because you do not see Obama doing anything when it comes to denigrating ads. Now Obama has come out and said that he does not find the ad to be racial but just cynical. I do wonder though that how people look at Obama is as a celebrity or as the man that has to run are country. I hope that our nation is not going to be like California and voter the governator because of his fame. Only time will tell. But as a word of advice tot he McCain campaign hit Obama where it hurts and that is the issues not the personality.
New McCain Commercial bashing Obama fogetting Hispanics
McCain add that came out showing that Obama forgot the Latin American countries is a bit of a stretch for me. Although I will agree that the Obama campaign has a long way to go to clear the rift it has with the Hispanic voters. Statistically over the years the Hispanic vote would not vote for a black person and even really a democrat. Let see if this commercial does anything to hurt the Obama campaign.
obama for offshore drilling

Obama has now come out in favor of offshore drilling. He changed from his original stance of being against it. The house and senate parties were at a deadlock fighting over the rights to overturn the presidential mandate. I for one am happy that Mr. Obama is for this and believe that it was very well said why he is now for offshore drilling.
“We can’t drill our way out of the problem,” he said. But, he added, “I also recognize that in the House and the Senate, there are Republicans who have very clear ideas about what they want, and at some point people are going to have to make some decisions. Do we want to keep on arguing, or are we going to get some things done?”
I am glad to see that he is willing to come to a compromise. Someone has to step forward here and cross the isle to bring people together. I also agree with Mr. Obama when he says that this should not be the only solution. We should start expanding other renewable sources of energy and stop this dependence on oil.
Of course the McCain party has come out taking credit for leading the way in offshore drilling. Now I would not go that far I believe that it was President Bush that had the idea Mr. McCain.
